NZD/IDR Exchange Rate Faces Downward Pressure Ahead of Free Trade Agreement

The New Zealand Dollar (NZD) vs Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) exchange rate has been trading below its key moving averages, indicating a subdued market with limited volatility.

The pair currently sits at Rp10,157 after a modest daily decline. The India-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement, set to take effect on October 20, 2026, will eliminate duties on all Indian exports and potentially alter trade flows between the two countries.

A recent review by New Zealand's Finance Ministry criticized the Reserve Bank of New Zealand for prolonging loose monetary policy, contributing to sustained inflation. This has led market participants to place greater weight on future RBNZ statements and economic data.

The NZD/IDR price prediction suggests a 77% probability of continued downside, with an expected range of Rp10,106 to Rp10,207 over the next two to three days.
