Pakistan Rupee Surges Past 250 Days Against US Dollar
The Pakistani rupee (PKR) has continued its upward trend against the US Dollar (USD), closing in green for the 249th consecutive day on Monday. This remarkable streak began on December 25, 2025.
As of September 28, 2026, the PKR closed at 277.15 after gaining one paisa against the USD. The rupee has made consistent gains since the start of this trend and is expected to reach 276 against the dollar by October 2026 if it continues at its current pace.
The PKR also reported gains against other major currencies, including a 34-paisa increase against the Euro (EUR) and a 13-paisa gain against the Canadian Dollar (CAD). However, it lost 70 paisas against the GBP but gained 20 paisas against the Australian Dollar (AUD).
