Pakistani Rupee Surges Against Major Currencies for Record-Breaking Streak
The Pakistani rupee (PKR) has continued its winning streak against major currencies, closing in green for the 252nd consecutive day on Thursday. At current rates, it's estimated that the rupee can jump into 276 against the US Dollar within two weeks.
The PKR gained one paisa against the USD, closing at 277.1, and has reported consistent gains since December 25, 2025. Against other major currencies, the PKR gained Rs. 1.51 against the GBP and 99 paisas against the Australian Dollar (AUD).
The rupee also saw gains of Rs. 1.80 against the Euro (EUR) and 91 paisas against the Canadian Dollar (CAD), while remaining stable against both the UAE Dirham (AED) and the Saudi Riyal (SAR).
