Pound Surges Against NZ Dollar Amid Risk Aversion

The Pound New Zealand Dollar (GBP/NZD) exchange rate rose to a two-month high last week, reaching NZ$2.3406 amid widespread risk aversion.

This came as markets digested key UK data and the Bank of England's (BoE) interest rate decision.

The Pound initially faced uncertain movement, but eventually pushed higher against some peers after the release of the UK's jobs report on Tuesday.

However, it softened later in the week as investors reacted to the BoE's decision to leave interest rates unchanged and slow the pace of its bond sales.
