RBC Launches Nasdaq-100 Linked Buffer Notes With 30-32% Cap
Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) has filed a free writing prospectus for Capped Enhanced Return Buffer Notes linked to the Nasdaq-100 Index. The maturity date is set for November 2, 2028, with a trade date of October 30, 2026.
The notes have a participation rate of 150% of the underlier return on the upside, capped at a maximum return between 30% and 32%. A 10% buffer applies, with the buffer value equal to 90% of the initial underlier value. If the index falls below this threshold, investors will incur losses calculated as 1% of principal for each 1% drop.
The initial estimated value per $1,000 principal is anticipated between $925.00 and $975.00, which is less than the public offering price. The notes do not pay interest and may yield less than comparable traditional debt securities.
