RBC Reduces Stake in Sprott Physical Gold and Silver Trust

Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) has sold off a portion of its stake in Sprott Physical Gold and Silver Trust ($CEF). According to a recent 13F filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, RBC's holdings in the trust decreased by 11.2% during the first quarter.

The firm owned approximately 3.32 million shares of $CEF stock after selling 416,156 shares during the quarter. These shares are worth around $158.24 million based on the current market price.

This is not an isolated instance of RBC adjusting its holdings in $CEF. Over the past few quarters, several institutional investors have made changes to their positions in the trust.
