The MA2K Snapshot was established in 2025 with a view to improving the availability of information and providing a consistent basis for monitoring change over time.
The publication brings together data from Statistics New Zealand's Business Operations Survey (BOS) with information provided voluntarily by participating banks, including ANZ, ASB, BNZ, Heartland, KiwiBank, Rabobank, TSB, and Westpac.
