Rupee Recovers Slightly Amid Global Risk Sentiment
The Indian rupee has shown signs of recovery by appreciating 19 paise to close at 95.80 against the U.S. dollar on September 25, 2026.
This development comes after a week of fluctuations, with the rupee weakening by 26 paise to settle at 95.99 against the U.S. dollar on Thursday, September 24.
Anuj Choudhary, Research Analyst, Mirae Asset Sharekhan, expects the rupee to trade with a slight positive bias due to improved global risk sentiment and optimism over the proposed U.S.-Iran phased deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
The dollar index was trading 0.18% lower at 101.10, while Brent crude futures were down by 1.08% at $105.45 per barrel, which may support the rupee at lower levels.
