RWE Places $1.5B Green Bond Outside Europe
RWE AG has successfully placed its third green bond outside of Europe, raising $1.5 billion in a U.S. dollar offering under Rule 144A.
The bond was issued in two tranches: one with a five-year tenor and another with a ten-year tenor, both valued at $750 million.
The proceeds from the green bonds will be used to finance or refinance eligible projects in accordance with RWE's Green Financing Framework, which focuses on renewable energy generation and storage, as well as hydrogen production and storage.
RWE was advised by a banking syndicate comprising BofA Securities, Inc., BBVA Securities Inc., Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Credit Agricole Securities (USA) Inc., Intesa Sanpaolo IMI Securities Corp., Mizuho Securities USA LLC, MUFG Securities Americas Inc., RBC Capital Markets, LLC and SMBC Nikko Securities America, Inc.
