The Swiss fund market has reached a new record high, with total assets growing to 1,927 billion Swiss francs by the end of September 2026. This marks a 10.8 percent increase, driven largely by strong financial market performance and currency effects, according to the Asset Management Association Switzerland (AMAS).

While much of the growth came from market gains, AMAS also identified net new money inflows of 32.7 billion Swiss francs. The majority of this fresh capital flowed into bond funds, with equity funds ranking second and money market and commodity funds trailing behind. Notably, around two-thirds of the new money was invested in exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

Despite rising interest rates, particularly in foreign currencies, bond funds attracted significant investment. AMAS CEO Adrian Schatzmann noted that this trend suggests investors prioritize current income and stability over short-term capital gains. Equity funds, however, benefited from the positive stock market performance, now accounting for 52.4 percent of all funds.

The market remains highly concentrated, with the ten largest providers holding around 75 percent of total fund assets. UBS leads the pack with a 36.9 percent share, followed by Swisscanto, Blackrock, and Pictet. Swiss Life has recently overtaken Vontobel in the rankings.
