TSX Hits New High as Resource Stocks Fuel Gains
The TSX continued its winning streak on Tuesday, driven by gains in resource stocks.
The index leaped 323.06 points to close at 36,332.28, with the Canadian dollar slipping 0.16 cents to 71.10 cents.
In gold and materials sectors, I-80 Gold rose 20 cents or 8.2% to $2.63, while Eldorado Gold hiked $3.86, or 6.5%, to $63.30.
Ero Copper gained $4.03, or 8.3%, to $52.71, and Trekor Metals sprang $1.03, or 8.5%, to $13.16.
