UBS Warns of Profit Hit from Prolonged Swiss Zero Rate
UBS Group AG is facing potentially lower profitability due to the Swiss National Bank's decision to keep its key interest rate at zero for an extended period. According to Bloomberg, SNB officials are likely to maintain this rate until the end of 2027, citing current inflation expectations and a lack of major shocks.
UBS Chief Financial Officer Todd Tuckner acknowledged that assumptions on SNB moves have been pushed back in light of this development. He made no further comments beyond this acknowledgement.
