US Dollar Surges to One-Year High in Iran's Free Market
The value of the US dollar has reached a one-year high in Iran's free market. According to exchange-rate data, the dollar climbed to 243,550 tomans on Monday from 236,050 a day earlier. This represents a significant increase of 7,500 tomans or 3.18% in just 24 hours.
The buying rate for the dollar has also reached 241,100 tomans. The value of the toman is declining following US President Donald Trump's rejection of Iran's latest proposal. However, it is worth noting that he did express his expectation for further talks with Tehran this week.
