Vulcan Steel Leads NZX Gainers as Precinct Properties Slumps
The NZX50 index was largely unchanged on Friday, despite Vulcan Steel leading the pack of gainers. Vulcan Steel rose by +4% to extend its recent momentum, and is now up +10% over five trading days and +11% over the past month.
Auckland International Airport (AIA) also gained +3%, while Air New Zealand (AIR) increased by the same amount. Sanford (SAN) was up +2%, but Precinct Properties (PCT), Infratil (IFT), The NZX (NZX), and Oceania Healthcare (OCA) all fell -2%.
Serko's Chief Financial Officer, Shane Sampson, will be stepping down in March 2027 after more than five years with the company. Heartland Group Holdings has acknowledged a Section 95 Notice from the Reserve Bank of New Zealand regarding its proposed acquisition of TSB shares and subsequent merger with TSB.
