ZIM Aircraft Seating is expanding its operations to meet growing demand from customers such as Air France, Air New Zealand, and Lufthansa Group. The company has recently increased its storage capacity by 20% with a new logistics hub at its Markdorf, Germany site.

The expanded facility will enable ZIM to double its assembly line capacity in preparation for future growth. This expansion follows the acquisition of HAECO Cabin Solutions in 2023, which gave ZIM access to more production capacity and a state-of-the-art economy class seat family.

ZIM showcased its latest premium economy platform, The Frame, at Aircraft Interiors Expo this year. The Frame features a unique wooden frame and can be ordered as either a fully-mechanical seat or with electric actuation. ZIM is also focused on producing mechanical seats for single-aisle aircraft up to the upper end, including electric-driver recliners for business class customers.
