$1 Million Kick on ESPN: Ole Miss Student Wins Big with Barefoot Field Goal
James Whitehead, a Parkland High School graduate and finance major at Ole Miss, made headlines on ESPN's College GameDay show after successfully kicking a 33-yard field goal to win a $1 million prize.
The kick was even more impressive given that Whitehead was barefooted during the attempt.
Whitehead's achievement is part of Pat McAfee's Kicking is Easy Contest, where one fan each week has the chance to make a kick and win a prize. The show's sponsor, Home Depot, matches the prize amount paid out by McAfee this season.
McAfee was so impressed with Whitehead's performance that he called it 'THE BEST KICK YET' on X, also giving him the moniker 'Mustache James.'
