$240M Plan Abandoned: U.S. Medical Glove Co. Ditches Former Procter & Gamble Site
A $240 million plan to develop a former Procter & Gamble site in Cincinnati has been scrapped. U.S. Medical Glove Co., based in Harvard, Illinois, had planned to build a medical and surgical glove manufacturing facility on the site.
The property, which spans 638,000 square feet at 5177 Spring Grove Ave., was once home to the St. Bernard Soap Co., founded by Procter & Gamble in 1886.
The trust that owns the site, CAI Investments LLC of Las Vegas, is now considering a smaller-scale project - a data center that would occupy about 15% of the property.
