A $60 million settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit against Flo, Google, and Meta. The lawsuit alleges that Flo was selling users' private health data to these tech giants without consent.

The lawsuit claims that the data was being used to send targeted ads for products related to users' menstrual cycles or pregnancies. This is particularly disturbing for people who received ads despite not planning for pregnancy or even knowing they were pregnant at all.

To qualify for a payment, individuals must have downloaded and used the Flo app between November 1, 2016, and February 28, 2019. The sign-up period for the settlement is open until October 15.

The final settlement amount will depend on how many people sign up for a share of the pie. California claimants will receive double the payment compared to residents of other states.
