Upfield Capital and Arrowleaf Real Estate have started construction on a new industrial development in Acheson, Alberta. The $22 million project will deliver a 61,000-square-foot building with flexible space for heavy industrial users.

The companies acquired an adjacent Home Depot distribution centre last October for $55 million and expect the new development to be completed by March 2027. Pre-leasing opportunities are available.

Designed to cater to the needs of businesses in need of warehouse space, the building features dock doors, grade doors, drive-through bays, and knockouts for multiple additional doors. It also includes a 28-foot clear height, precast construction, and dedicated yard space for each tenant with direct access to the building.

York Construction Inc. was selected as the general contractor for the project. The new development is located near major transportation routes and is expected to meet strong demand in the area.
