Ackman's Pershing Square Dumps Alphabet, Boosts Bets on Microsoft and Meta
Billionaire investor Bill Ackman's hedge fund, Pershing Square, has made significant changes to its portfolio in the second quarter. The fund added new positions in several stocks, including Netflix Inc (NASDAQ:NFLX), Mastercard (NYSE:MA), Visa Inc (NYSE:V), S&P Global Inc (NYSE:SPGI), and Pershing Square USA (NYSE:PSUS).
In addition to these additions, the fund exited its positions in Alphabet Class C (NASDAQ:GOOG) and Alphabet Class A (NASDAQ:GOOGL). This move is a notable shift in Ackman's investment strategy, as he has been a long-time proponent of Alphabet's growth prospects.
The second-quarter 13F filing showed that Pershing Square increased its stakes in Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META) by 20.1%, Uber Technologies (NYSE:UBER) by 14.6%, and Restaurant Brands International (NYSE:QSR) by 14.0%. The fund also boosted its position in Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) by 9.8%.
