Adobe Powers Up Acrobat with AI-Driven Productivity Features
Adobe is expanding its Acrobat platform from a traditional PDF reader and editor to an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered document productivity tool. The company's Productivity Agent combines Acrobat's document intelligence with Adobe Express' AI-first creation capabilities, allowing users to understand, create, and share information through conversational workflows.
This expansion broadens Acrobat's productivity offering as Microsoft and Alphabet continue to develop their own AI capabilities in workplace productivity and document-related workflows. Adobe expects competition to intensify as generative and agentic AI expands into document productivity, understanding, and AI-enabled workflows.
The Productivity Agent can transform documents into presentations, podcasts, and social content, support conversational PDF editing, and power sharing capabilities through PDF Spaces. Users can also create branded PDF Spaces with customizable AI assistants for sales prospecting, content marketing, and research delivery.
