George Plumos Jr., an 83-year-old man from Sun City West, Arizona, passed away on August 9, 2026. He was born on June 30, 1943, in Martinez, California. Plumos proudly served in the United States Air Force, stationed at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona, after graduating high school.

He built a remarkable 40-year career in aerospace, working with various companies including Air Research, Garrett, AlliedSignal, and Honeywell, where he held multiple roles such as mechanic, APU inspector, TFE inspector, and supervisor. Plumos led an active life, enjoying outdoor activities like golf, four-wheel drive clubs, tennis, volleyball, and camping.

He coached fast pitch softball for over 20 years, mentoring his daughter and granddaughters, and traveled for tournaments across the Southwest and internationally in Hawaii. In retirement, Plumos and his wife Margie traveled frequently, especially on cruises with close friends.
