Air India Revives Direct Flights from Delhi to Tel Aviv in December

After an on-again, off-again relationship with flights to Israel, Air India is reviving its direct route from Delhi to Tel Aviv in December. According to a report by N12 News, the Indian carrier plans to operate five direct flights per week between the two cities starting on December 1.

This marks the fourth time Air India has resumed flights to Israel since March 2024, following a series of interruptions due to various reasons including the Gaza war and Houthi ballistic missile attacks on Ben-Gurion Airport.

As the sole carrier operating direct flights between India and Israel, Air India's return will provide Israeli and Indian travelers with more convenient travel options. The airline's Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft will join a list of foreign long-haul carriers serving Ben-Gurion Airport, including US carriers Delta Air Lines and United Airlines.

Delta resumed its JFK-Tel Aviv route on September 7, while United resumed its Newark-Tel Aviv route two days later. With Air India's return, travelers between the two countries will have more choices for direct flights, making travel easier and more accessible.
