Akasa Air has taken delivery of two brand-new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft at Navi Mumbai International Airport within a record 48-hour window.

The airline's 43rd aircraft, VT-YBT, was inducted on Wednesday morning at 4:21 AM, following closely behind its sister aircraft, VT-YBS, which landed at NMIA on Tuesday morning at 4:33 AM.

VT-YBR completed a three-leg ferry flight from Boeing's facility in Seattle, USA, crossing multiple time zones and continents. The feat marks Akasa Air's twelfth aircraft delivery in 2026.

Akasa Air is leveraging NMIA's newly commissioned infrastructure to absorb its rapid fleet expansion, with plans to receive four additional Boeing 737 MAX aircraft before the end of the year.
