Albany International Extends Boeing Deal, Bolsters Aerospace Growth
Albany International Corp (NYSE:AIN) has extended its contract with The Boeing Company (NYSE:BA) to manufacture components for the 787 Dreamliner. Under the deal, Albany will continue producing approximately 300 unique composite fuselage frames for Sections 41 and 43 at its Salt Lake City facility.
The extension of the agreement stabilizes a key supplier relationship for Boeing while providing revenue visibility for Albany International Corp. For Boeing, this move reduces supply chain friction as it works to stabilize 787 production rates and prevent further delays in delivery schedules across commercial aerospace.
However, Boeing remains tied to third-party operational dependencies and potential component cost inflation across its supplier network. Meanwhile, Albany International Corp's revenue concentration in commercial aircraft programs exposes the company to Boeing's manufacturing execution risks, build-rate fluctuations, and broader supply chain disruptions.
