Algorhythm Welcomes IBM Veteran Greg Smith to Board
Algorhythm Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: RIME) has appointed Greg Smith, a 30-year IBM veteran, as its newest independent director. Smith brings extensive experience in technology and business process management, having managed multi-country organizations with a $2 billion annual budget. His career at IBM was marked by rapid promotions and numerous recognitions, including a Global Supply Chain Leadership Award.
Andrew Thompson, Algorhythm’s CEO, expressed enthusiasm about Smith’s addition to the board. Thompson highlighted Smith’s expertise in organizational structure and client relationship management, emphasizing his role in fostering a results-driven culture across Algorhythm’s portfolio. Smith’s deep understanding of the AI data center boom is expected to be invaluable as the company explores growth opportunities in renewable power solutions for data center infrastructure.
Algorhythm Holdings operates two primary assets: Azure Holdings, a renewable biomass power plant developer, and SemiCab Holdings, an AI-enabled logistics provider. Azure has already secured equity participation in multiple power plants under construction in the U.S., with an estimated net present value of over $220 million. SemiCab, launched in 2020, uses AI and machine learning to optimize supply-chain logistics for major retailers and transportation providers.
