AlixPartners Hires Turnaround Expert for Australia Expansion

AlixPartners has appointed David Ellis as Partner & Managing Director in its Performance practice in Australia, expanding its Sydney-based operations. Ellis joins from IBM Consulting, where he was Managing Partner for Australia and led a team of over 1,000 staff during a period of restructuring.

He has more than 25 years of experience in transformation and turnaround work, including business leadership, C-suite and board advisory roles, and interim executive positions. Ellis is expected to play a key role in the Performance practice as AlixPartners grows its presence in Australia.

The appointment follows other recent additions to the Australian team, including Directors Felicity Edwards, Max Albrecht, and Maximilian Fischer-Muriyadan. Peter Saville, Country Leader for AlixPartners in Australia, said Ellis brings a unique combination of transformation, turnaround, and hands-on leadership experience.

AlixPartners is seeking to grow its presence in the Australian market, where advisory firms are competing for restructuring, performance improvement, and technology-related mandates.
