Alphabet and Nvidia Stocks Predicted to Soar by 2030
Alphabet and Nvidia are two of the biggest companies involved in the AI race. Alphabet is the third-largest company behind Apple, which isn't pursuing AI technology as aggressively. Nvidia is the world's largest company.
Nvidia's approach to AI is straightforward: it focuses on selling computing units to power AI workloads. Its product lineup centers around graphics processing units (GPUs), but these aren't always the right tool for every job. Alphabet has designed and outsourced its tensor processing unit (TPU) fabrication to Broadcom, which can be an upgrade over a GPU in certain situations.
Alphabet's AI investments include integrating AI into Google Search and its family of large language models. Its cloud computing division, Google Cloud, grew at 82% last quarter, and with $200 billion in data center capital expenditures this year, the growth rate will likely stay elevated for a long time.
The big five AI hyperscalers are projected to spend around $3 trillion to $4 trillion on data center capital expenditures by 2030. If Nvidia can quadruple its revenue, it could see a similar stock price increase, given its current 28 times earnings price tag. Alphabet's revenue and profits may grow at a 25% compound annual growth rate (CAGR), which would mean its stock more than doubles.
