Alphabet's shares fell by 4% to $361 on Wednesday afternoon following the departure of several senior AI leaders, including Chief Scientist Jeff Dean and three other co-founders.

The leadership overhaul sparked concerns that Google trails behind its competitors in the AI space, particularly OpenAI and Anthropic. However, Alphabet's fundamentals remain strong, with a 52-week high of $408.61 within reach and a year-to-date gain of 16%.

The company's valuation is also attractive, with a trailing P/E ratio of 17x, the lowest among mega-caps. Analysts have set a target price of $428 for Alphabet stock, while prediction markets give it a 50% chance of reaching $400 by August.
