Amazon has expanded its perks for Prime members by adding Uber Eats to its list of services. The Seattle-based company announced the partnership on Thursday, allowing Prime members in the U.S. to order from hundreds of thousands of restaurants through Uber Eats directly from Amazon.com or its shopping app. Orders over $25 will have no delivery fees, and members can get $20 off their first two Uber Eats orders of $25 or more within the first 14 days.

This marks Amazon’s second collaboration with a restaurant delivery service, following its 2024 partnership with Grubhub. The Grubhub offer will phase out as the Uber Eats partnership takes effect. Andrew Macdonald, president and chief operating officer of Uber, highlighted that the integration aims to make restaurant delivery as seamless and affordable as ordering anything else on Uber Eats.

The announcement comes amid industry shifts, including DoorDash’s recent $17 billion offer to buy Instacart. This potential deal could reshape the grocery delivery sector in the U.S. and globally. Meanwhile, Walmart has also been expanding its restaurant delivery platform, partnering with Subway, Dunkin’, and Papa Johns, now boasting 2,400 restaurant locations.

Since launching delivery with Subway, Walmart reported that 65% of those orders included additional items from the retailer. This suggests a growing trend of combining grocery and restaurant deliveries under a single platform.
