Amazon Brings Drone Delivery Service to Portland Metro Area

Amazon is expanding its drone delivery service to Portland, Oregon, with plans to launch early next year. The company has filed a request with the city's permitting department to build a Prime Air Drone Delivery Center at a fulfillment center in North Portland.

A spokesperson for Amazon confirmed the plans, stating that the company is 'always exploring new ways to get customers a wider selection at faster speeds.'

Prime Air currently delivers to customers in seven states: Arizona, Florida, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Nebraska, and Texas. Amazon has plans to launch its drone delivery service into nearly 500 cities and towns by the end of the year.
