Amazon Cargo Plane Crashes at Miami Airport, Five Killed
An Amazon cargo plane crashed at Miami International Airport on September 6, 2026, killing at least five people and injuring several others.
The Prime Air plane, operated by 21 Air, a cargo carrier based in North Carolina, overran the runway after arriving from San Juan, Puerto Rico. The aircraft burst into flames and struck several vehicles on the ground.
According to authorities, five people were killed, three critically injured, and two others hospitalized with less severe injuries. More than 60 Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units responded to the crash, arriving to find the plane on fire as crews worked to extinguish the flames and assess patients.
