Amazon Cargo Plane Crashes at Miami International Airport
An Amazon cargo plane crashed at Miami International Airport on Sunday, killing at least five people and critically injuring three others.
The Prime Air plane overran the runway around 2 p.m. after arriving from San Juan, Puerto Rico, and struck vehicles before bursting into flames.
Miami-Dade Rescue Fire Chief Ray Jadallah said some people were trapped inside vehicles, while the pilot and copilot were also trapped in the plane.
The National Transportation Safety Board is sending a team to investigate the crash, led by Chairwoman Jennifer Homendy.
