Amazon Cargo Plane Crashes at Miami International Airport

An Amazon cargo plane crashed at Miami International Airport on Sunday (Florida time), killing at least five people and injuring three others. The plane, operated by US cargo carrier 21 Air, overran the runway after attempting to land from San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The aircraft burst into flames and struck multiple vehicles after leaving the runway, with two trucks parked nearby reportedly being hit. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) was sending investigators to the scene.

Amazon confirmed that one of its planes experienced an incident when it attempted to land in Miami, stating that their 'absolute priority' is the safety and well-being of everyone involved. The FAA issued a full ground stop at the airport, affecting over 250 flights and causing significant delays.
