Amazon Cargo Plane Crashes at Miami International Airport
At Miami International Airport on Sunday afternoon, an Amazon-branded Prime Air cargo plane crashed during landing, resulting in five fatalities.
The aircraft overran the runway while attempting to land, with three people in critical condition being transported to a trauma center and two others taken to a local hospital.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Chief Ray Jadallah reported that the pilot and co-pilot were trapped in the plane, and several others were trapped in vehicles caught in the crash.
A fuel leak and a 'very complex' fire involving flaming engines on the runway were among the challenges faced by over 60 fire crews.
