Amazon Cargo Plane Crashes in Miami, Multiple Fatalities Reported

A 21 Air Boeing 767-33A(ER)(BDSF) operating for Amazon Prime Air overran Runway 30 upon landing at Miami International Airport on September 6, 2026. The aircraft came to rest near a parking lot that services an Amazon warehouse and caught fire.

Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava reported that at least five people have been killed and at least three more taken to the hospital. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has launched a Go Team to investigate the crash, which will hold its first briefing on September 7, 2026.

The aircraft was traveling at 112 knots as it exited the runway and made contact with the ground before catching fire. Weather conditions at the time included thunderstorms and gusting winds of up to 26 knots.
