Blue Edge Capital LLC purchased approximately $11.74 million worth of Amazon.com stock during the second quarter, buying 49,262 shares according to its most recent SEC filing.

The e-commerce giant's stock comprises 1.4% of Blue Edge Capital LLC's portfolio and is now their 21st largest position.

This purchase is just one of several large investments in Amazon.com by various institutions during the second quarter, with Bank of America Corp DE purchasing a new stake valued at around $22.22 billion, Bank of New York Mellon Corp buying a new stake worth approximately $16.34 billion, and Legal & General Group Plc acquiring a new position valued at about $12.83 billion.

Amazon.com's market capitalization is currently over $2.69 trillion with a price-to-earnings ratio of 20.09 and a beta of 1.44.
