Amazon Drops Amid $100M Indiana Manufacturing Push
Amazon is investing over $100 million in a new manufacturing site in Greenwood, Indiana. The project will cover 585,000 square feet and is expected to start operating by 2028.
The facility will produce equipment for Amazon's logistics and robotics operations across North America. It will create 300 skilled positions with average annual compensation approaching $100,000.
This investment adds to Amazon's existing manufacturing footprint in Indiana, where it has committed over $40 billion since 2008. The company supports more than 27,000 direct jobs in the state and has invested over $230 billion in U.S. manufacturing since 2010.
