Amazon has expanded its Echo family with new devices designed to enhance the Alexa+ experience. The lineup includes the Echo Dot ($100), Echo Studio With Home Camera ($250), Echo Show 16 ($500), Echo Time ($200), and the Alexa Photo Frame ($200). Panos Panay, Amazon's senior vice president of Devices and Alexa, highlighted that Alexa+ users now interact with the assistant two to three times more frequently than before its AI upgrade.
The new Echo Dot features a full-range driver with 50 percent stronger bass and crisper vocals. It also includes four beamforming microphones and Amazon's AZ3 chip for better voice isolation in noisy environments. The device supports the Matter standard and can act as a Thread border router for smart home setups. It comes in four colors, with three calming pastels aimed at reducing stress.
The Echo Studio With Home Camera introduces a camera feature, allowing Alexa to identify users for personalized responses. It also supports Live View for home monitoring and video calls. The camera enables Advanced Room Adaptation, adjusting sound based on room dynamics. A privacy button turns off the camera and microphones, with an LED indicator for active use.
The Alexa Photo Frame is a 10-inch display that shows photos from Amazon Photos. It features smart curation to choose the best images and allows voice notes tied to pictures. The frame comes in three styles: black, birch, or walnut. The Echo Time is a bedside clock with a 3.2-inch display, offering smart alarms that detect breathing to wake users gently.
