Amazon Expands Same-Day Delivery in Louisville with New Site

Amazon has announced plans to expand its presence in Louisville, Kentucky, with a new same-day delivery site. The facility, located at 8001 Air Commerce Drive, is expected to create over 200 jobs with an average pay of $23 per hour for full-time employees.

The building will utilize advanced robotics and AI to speed up deliveries for customers in the region, supporting faster delivery of everyday items, groceries, and pharmacy prescriptions. Amazon's new site in Louisville will also help the company make good on its same-day delivery grocery and pharmacy services, which launched in February, delivering area residents within a 55-mile radius fresh groceries and prescription medications to their doorsteps within hours.

'Adding a new facility here allows us to meet growing demand for faster delivery while leveraging the region's skilled workforce and established supply chain ecosystem,' an Amazon spokesperson said. The company has invested more than $75 billion in Kentucky since 2010, including infrastructure and compensation to its employees.
