Amazon Expands Sub-Same Day Delivery in US, Asks Sellers to Bid for Access
Amazon is expanding its sub-Same Day delivery service in the US by asking third-party sellers to bid for access. The e-commerce giant uses Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) to store and ship products from these merchants.
Sellers who use FBA will be asked to submit bids for their products to become eligible for sub-Same Day delivery, which promises orders in as little as two hours. This service is currently available across 2,300 metropolitan areas.
The appeal of faster delivery is obvious, with Amazon highlighting that products offered through sub-Same Day delivery have experienced a 12% higher sales average compared to regular FBA service.
