Amazon Now Hits $1B in India Quick Commerce Sales
Amazon's India quick-commerce arm, Amazon Now, has reached an annualized gross sales milestone of $1 billion over the trailing three months. This marks the fastest scale-up in Amazon's Indian history, according to the company.
Orders on the platform have doubled every quarter since launch, with daily order volumes around 700,000 and a 10% share of the quick-commerce market by orders, or about 14% by value.
The service has expanded fourfold in under ten weeks and is now available in over 60 cities and towns through a network of more than 750 micro- and urban-fulfillment centers. Amazon aims to reach 100 cities by Diwali and 1,000 dark stores by year-end as part of its expansion plan.
Amazon's global numbers also show momentum, with worldwide net sales reaching $200.6 billion in the second quarter of 2026, a 20% increase from the same period last year. The International segment, which includes India, posted net sales of $42.2 billion, up 15% year over year.
Amazon's investment in the Indian market continues with testing of its Hindi-language version of generative-AI assistant Alexa+, signaling further expansion plans ahead of a full rollout.
