Amazon Opens Fire TV Beta Program for Early Software Updates
Amazon has introduced an open beta program for its Fire TV users in the US, allowing them to test pre-release software updates before they become available to everyone.
The program is called the 'Fire TV Beta Access Program' and it's a standard practice in the tech industry, where companies release new features to a select group of users for testing purposes.
To join the beta program, Fire TV owners need to go to their device settings, navigate to 'My Fire TV', then 'About', and finally enable the Beta Access Menu Item. However, not all Amazon Fire TVs are compatible with the program, although this may change over time.
Amazon hasn't revealed what features will be included in the beta program, but it's likely that users will experience visual changes, UI updates, new features, and app updates, similar to other TV-adjacent devices like Microsoft's Xbox Series and Sony's PlayStation 5.
