Undervalued Cash Generators: NVIDIA, Broadcom, and Amazon.com
Bond yields have surged to multi-decade highs, and this has led to companies with fragile future cash flows being punished. However, this same move is giving a rare chance for undervalued cash generators to slip through the cracks. When markets focus on headlines, solid cash flow stories trading below estimated fair value can quietly set up.
NVIDIA (NVDA) is one such example. The company is known for its GPUs and AI platforms, but it's also generating significant cash from its data center products sold to cloud and enterprise customers. NVIDIA's Graphics arm produced about $27.6 billion, while the Compute & Networking segment generated roughly $275.4 billion in revenue.
Analysts note that if a single deeply embedded assumption about future AI spending starts to bend, Nvidia's moat, margins, and cash flows could change as AI competition intensifies.
Broadcom (AVGO) is another company on this list, with its semiconductor hardware linking directly to data center plumbing. The company also has software that brings in steadier subscription-style income, supporting a discounted cash flow case when the price dislocates. Broadcom generates chips and infrastructure software for data centers, networking, and enterprise IT.
Amazon.com (AMZN) is a different story altogether. It combines global retail and subscriptions with a high-margin cloud platform that anchors the thesis. Amazon's revenue is reported at $453.7 billion in North America, $173.6 billion internationally, and $148.4 billion from AWS.
