Amazon Prime Air Cargo Plane Crashes at Miami International Airport

At least five people were killed when an Amazon Prime Air cargo flight crashed while landing at Miami International Airport on Sunday. The plane, a Boeing 767-300 operated by cargo airline 21 Air for Amazon, overran the airport's diagonal runway and struck multiple vehicles on the ground.

The incident occurred shortly before 2 p.m. EDT (1800 GMT) and was confirmed by Amazon and the Miami-Dade Aviation Department. Three people are in critical condition after being injured in the crash, while two were trapped inside vehicles that were struck by the plane.

The pilot and co-pilot were also trapped inside the plane by the crash. Emergency personnel responded to the incident with over 60 rescue units and about 200 personnel, but an active fuel leak from the aircraft remained a concern as of late afternoon on Sunday.
