More than 2,000 infant bath seats sold on Amazon have been recalled due to stability issues that pose a drowning risk. The recall, issued on October 8, 2026, affects ONTHEWEI Baby Bath Seats, which are designed for babies aged 6 to 18 months. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the seats are unstable and could tip over during use, violating federal safety standards.
The CPSC urged consumers to stop using the seats immediately and contact ONTHEWEI for a full refund. Customers are instructed to destroy the bath seat by marking it as “RECALLED,” disassembling it, and cutting the suction cups. A photo of the destroyed seat must then be sent to the manufacturer’s email for verification.
The affected products, priced between $40 and $50, were sold on Amazon in April 2026. They come in grey, pink, blue, and mist green and have a model number “MY002” printed on a label on the back. A total of 2,140 units are involved in the recall, but no injuries have been reported.
