Amazon Seals Major Sponsorship Deal for Prince Harry's Invictus Games
Prince Harry's Invictus Games have secured a major sponsorship deal with Amazon, according to reports. The tech giant is poised to become a key supporter of the competition, which will take place in Birmingham from July 10-17, 2027.
The arrangement fills a significant financial gap left by Boeing, which had previously backed the event but chose not to continue its support after the last edition two years ago. The deal is also expected to improve the chances of Meghan Markle attending the games.
Amazon's involvement may come as a surprise given that its streaming platform, Prime Video, directly competes with Netflix, which has previously broadcast the Sussexes' lifestyle programs and an Invictus documentary series. However, a source close to the matter noted that Amazon wanted to get involved and sees the partnership as a way to support former military personnel.
