Amazon Starts $1.5B Prime Settlement Refunds with Payouts up to $200
Amazon has initiated refunds for its $1.5 billion Prime settlement, with payouts as high as $200 per person.
The refund package was established after the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) charged Amazon with anti-consumer Prime practices.
To qualify for a refund, customers must reside in the US and have enrolled in Amazon's Prime scheme through one of the methods challenged in the FTC's lawsuit or have unsuccessfully tried to cancel their subscription between June 23, 2019, and June 23, 2025.
Payments will be sent automatically, either by mailed check or electronically using PayPal or Venmo, but customers should be cautious of phishing emails claiming to be from the FTC or Amazon.
