Amazon.com stock fell 2.24 percent to USD 249.27 on Nasdaq on September 23, 2026, marking a decline from its 52-week high of USD 287.20.

The drop comes as Amazon rolls out agentic AI tools for third-party sellers, called Workflows, which can continuously respond to seller prompts and monitor product ratings and prices.

This move is part of the company's broader strategy to use AI to increase the value of advertising, fulfillment, and marketplace services without relying solely on retail merchandise sales.

Amazon's second-quarter 2026 net sales reached USD 200.606 billion, up 20 percent from a year earlier, while operating income rose 43.2 percent to USD 27.461 billion.
