Amazon Stock Plunges Amid Lawsuit and Regulatory Scrutiny
Amazon's stock price fell 2.13% to $254.37 after traders reacted to selling pressure and regulatory scrutiny.
The decline was triggered by a lawsuit filed by the Federal Trade Commission and 22 states against Amazon, alleging manipulation of advertising auctions worth $20 billion.
Despite this setback, Amazon's revenue surge continues, with net sales up 20% year-over-year to $200.6 billion in Q2 2026, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) posting a 36.7% increase in revenue, its fastest growth in 18 quarters.
